BATTERY SAVING TIPS FOR ANDROID USERS

Battery capacity is on the things I wrote previously on the part 2 of Things to consider before buying an Android phone.
A good Android phone with lots of features but poor battery power is always nothing to write home about.

If your phone battery is above 5000MAH then this post is not for you. Let me believe your still reading because you are fed up of your phone 🔋 battery performance.

Android devices comes with different OS(operating system) versions. Read more on this HERE. This different versions has different battery consumption methods, some tends to be more battery friendly.
In the other hand, upgrading to a new version can cause your phone to be using more power maybe due to added features and applications which the phone don't have before.
The simple fact is that the more application you have running in background, the faster your phone battery drains.

In most cases, it is a factory fault in most released OTA(over the air) updates. If you observe very well from How Android OS started that I previously wrote, you will see that most of these OS have been exiled. Mobile phone producing companies focus mainly on newly released updates. As the time of this article, the recent OS is Nougat (Android 7..) which succeeded Marshmallow (Android 6..) followed by Lollipop (Android 5..)and KitKat (Android 4..) in the down stream.

This article is meant for Android KitKat (Android 4..) and above.

IN THIS ARTICLE, I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU HOW TO ENHANCE YOUR PHONE BATTERY PERFORMANCE BASICALLY ON MTK (media tek)DEVICES RUNNING 6.0 AND ABOVE WITH CUSTOM OS. (this tutorial need no root access)

1. Monitor you battery performance statistic graph.
Mobile phone with good battery consumption is supposed to go down with a straight line in the battery diagram below

In the above picture, it showed that the phone was charged by 5pm and used till 6pm before it was charged again till 7pm where is been used till the current time 9pm where the screen shot was taken. You know the charging time from the graph when the line goes up. From 7pm last charged Tim,you will notice that the line is now sloppy meaning that the phone which has the above screen shot has good battery consumption reading.
Below the pictures are the apps that have the highest battery consumption reading .
By default, Android 6. and above have this common problem which is WiFi always consuming battery in the background.

Now click on the wi-fi  and turn off wi-fi and Bluetooth scanning in background.

Great!

2. Disable some irrelevant protected apps that you don't need to be running in background.

Use the system application manager(HI manager,X-manager,application manager in most MTK devices) to remove apps from protected list. Any app in protected list will not be closed when user cleans recently opened apps
Use this feature always, I mean you should clean recently opened apps regularly.

To turn off some apps from protected list, tap on the settings icon on the top right corner of the device app manager.

Then select protected apps and turn off the ones you don't need . Leave your social networks, flash alerts, launchers etc on so that you can receive offline or background notification.
Check bandwidth manager >>network manger and turn off apps that are connecting to network in background which you don't need too.
Great tip for saving data

You can also turn off background data of apps to prevent them from running in background when you on your data. Goto settings >>  data usage >> select the desired SIM(for double SIM CARDS) and restrict the background data of the apps you don't want to be using your data when your data connection is on.
Great tip for saving data

3. Manage auto-starts

Auto-starts are apps which will automatically open themselves immediately you on your Android phone without you opening them.

4. Turn down your phone brightness

This is also one of battery consuming feature of any phone, turn it down for your battery's sake and that of your eyes. Locate it in settings >> display and then brightness.

5. Note these
Put your phone in power saving when you are in a place you know that there is no way you can recharge your battery. When your battery turn 10%,turn ultra- power saving mode on to terminate all Android processes and serves and thereby extending your battery life. You can still turn ultra- power saving mode on at any battery stage. Locate this in your phone manager or power manager. Do not use many launchers, just in good launcher is enough or rather keep the follow com launcher.
Do not bombard your phone with too much applications, you phone is an electronic device which accepts your command/s and processes it to give you result, it does things with short time.

UNINSTALL SOME OF THE APPS YOU ARE NOT USING,IT SAVES YOU BATTERY AND STORAGE SPACE TOO...

Putting too much apps on phones will not just create much task for the phone, will make the phone to be hanging depending on your phone processor and RAM(random access memory).
Just like human beings, when you are been asked some things you will wait before answer, allow your phone to execute the command you gave one by one, I mean allow the phone to finish what what just pressed before pressing another. If your phone shows not responding, let is finish calculating and don't just keep punching it.... Lol
It will simply make the phone to freeze. The speed which your phone responds to what you are pressing depends on the RAM and processor.
IF YOU PHONE BATTERY CAPACITY IS BELOW 2000MaH, consider using lite version of apps, like Facebook lite instead of the main Facebook , going to Instagram,Twitter etc through a good browser like GOOGLE CHROME BROWSER. Bookmarks the site link or url, you can even send the shortcut to desktop for quick access.
Using the *add to home screen* option.

Also turn off automatic synchronisation of apps, email, accounts etc
Goto settings>> accounts >> select the account you want to turn synchronisation off and deselect the ones you want.

As for battery savers, I will tell you no application can save your battery unless on rooted devices where they under-clock the phone's CPU. What battery saver can Do on unrooted phones is to to give you saving tips, don't be mislead.. one battery saver is okay, putting many does not extend your battery life, rather it drains it because they all run in background.

Turn off 3G,4G,5G when you are not really using them, switch to 2G it saves battery and data too or turn the data off completely.
Dial *#*#4636#*#*  to get started.
Read more HERE

All the images may not be the same with your device, kindly follow the tutorial sequentially according to your phone model and OS.

I hope your battery performance will be much more better after these adjustments..

The above methods has no bad effects on your  phone.
